National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation came out in 1989. It’s still the most-watched holiday movie in American households every December. And the line Cousin Eddie delivers from the RV — with a straight face, in his bathrobe, in the middle of the suburbs — is the one that gets quoted at family gatherings, used as group chat names, and now hangs in front of houses across the country.
